Allison Mosier Sheff is a multifaceted theater professional, whose career spans two decades. She started out as a performer, working in New York and Regional Theater. Allison was then hired as part of the production team to work with professional child actors on Broadway. Over 11 years, she worked on nine Broadway productions, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Music Man (2000 revival), Into the Woods (2002 revival), La Boheme (with Baz Luhrman), White Christmas (Original 2008 production), Billy Elliot, A Little Night Music (2009 revival) and Matilda, as well as off-Broadway and on National Tours. Through countless hours spent in the rehearsal room, she developed a passion for the creative process and began working as a director.
As a director and choreographer, she has worked with Ogunquit Playhouse, Papermill Theater at Jean’s Playhouse, Arundel Barn Playhouse, Staten Island Philharmonic, OC Centric at Chapman University, Live Arts Maryland, and the Elephant Theater Company.
Allison’s background enables her to create a collaborative environment where cast and creatives can feel safe and supported. She believes in tackling the numerous challenges that arise with a sense of humor, organization, and a positive attitude.
Allison received her BA in Theater from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She also holds a certificate in directing from the Yale School of Drama, and she is an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC).
